Koieta sits on her bed, Razeus curled up next to her as she pets him, staring up at the ceiling, just thinking. She thinks of going out into the world, exploring, learning, oh, maybe getting more fun items and books!
But… she’s scared. She hasn’t made friends here, so why does she think it would be different out there?
People just see…. Her, and get scared, or get really mean, or….
She pauses, sniffling a bit, wiping her nose on her sleeve before again petting Razeus.
“Ughhhhhh, why do people have to be such… Bitches”
She says that last part quietly, not wanting her mothers to hear her breaking the house rule of no cursing.
“I just want to… be cool, fit in…. Like those oh shoot, what are they called…”
She says, turning to Razeus, as he just looks back with a tilt of his head, confused…
“Come on, you know, like the…. People who go to parties and drink all the time…”
Razeus kind of “talks” a bit, as foxes do…
“Gahhh, you’re no help, you know”
She says, giggling, before petting him again
“I want to be like the hero from those books! The ones who always get complimented for being so… cool and gorgeous, and they get their hair blowing in the wind, downright sick speech moments!”
She says, mumbling a bit to herself before pausing and looking at Razeus
“Who…. says I can’t?”
He looks back at her and just shakes his head around with a smile
“No, okay, so hear me out… I’m not allowed to shift in the house, butttttt…. If I’m not in the house, there’s no rule against it, right??? Sooooo… what if we made a really cool…. Protagonist from an action book persona!”
She said with a giddy giggle at the end, sitting up
“Imagine it… Big flowy hair!… Wait, wait, hold that thought!”
She said, hopping up and standing in front of her full-body mirror
“Okay, better, so let’s see… maybe big flowy hair?”
She says as she shifts her hair to that length and style
“Whatcha think, Raz?”
She says, turning around as he just looks blankly at her
“No, you’re right, it’s really heavy and… it moves too much… Like I want it to move, but…”
She shakes her head around
“That’s a bit too much”
She says giggling
“Okay, so not…. Flowy long hair, but I do want to have the wind blow my hair around…. Butttt too much hair like this is just heavy”
She says before just messing around with different hair lengths, styles, and more before finally landing on this very curly, brown hair that goes down to her back
“Okay, okay… this looks really cool!!! The curls make it like… lighter? But”
She moves her head around, letting the hair woosh behind her
“Yeah, I could get used to this”
She says with a big smile.
“Right, okay, skin…. Cause this and grey look tragiccccc”
She says with a laugh
“We could justtttt… steal Jen’s color? I mean, she is my mom, soooo”
She says before turning her skin that darker pale olive coloring.
“Right, perfect…. But this is just… basic… we need more like Pazzaz! How can I be the cool, never unphased, and always quippy protagonist if I’m just a basic like… boring person. Definitely want elf ears.. Ooooo, take Beth’s teeth, with those big canines…”
She says with a big smile, showing off the new canine teeth
“Perfect! Right… oh, those eye circle things!”
She says, making pupils, that are entirely crimson like her normal eyes
“Hmmmm, okay, steal both my mom’s eye color…. But…. gahhhh it’s still so boring!!!”
She says, looking back at Razeus and looking at his claws
“Oooooooo oooooo yes! Claws, like…. Clawed hands and feet?”
She says as they shift before she makes a clicking sound with them on the desk next to her as she giggles
“Click click click”
She says, giggling more
“Right, but… hmmm”
She says, rotating her head, looking at all the different parts
“Oooooo let’s add like a cool dark, bad side, you know, like…. Maybe she’s nice, but maybe… she’s just trouble kinda look! The claws really help with that, buttttt… okay, hear me out, Raz”
She says, pausing as she shifts her form to add horns
“Ehhhh Ehhh? Pretty cool, right? Like this, bad girl but the approachable vibe, huh?”
She says giggling
“Get one of those big, like, witch hats and cloaks… really make me look like the anti-hero cool bad bitch type???”
She says again, giggling before she hears a knock on her door. She freezes as there’s another knock, and Beth calls out
“Koieta, food’s ready!”
She pauses and blushes a bit before dropping the new form she concocted. Once shes gets back to herself, she opens the door with a smile
“Please tell me Mom made Venizen”
She says, almost bolting down the stairs past Beth, but not before giving her a big hug.
“Right… I can do this”
She thinks to herself
“I just need a cool bad bitch name to go with my cool bad bitch look”
She thinks, giggling internally…
“Blaze!”
“No, not even close… ummm, Inferno? Why am I so stuck on fire right now gahhh? Uhhhhhh Smoke? Psssh no… ooooo Ash! Yeah, that’s a bad bitch name… oh what’s your name”
“Oh me?”
“I’m Ash, the Cool Witch”
She thinks, giggling…
“Now that’s a name I think I can get behind… Ash, gahhh that’s so cool… perfect, perfect, perfect!!!”
***Fast Forward To After Dinner

Koieta smiles and gives her moms a hug before running back upstairs… She wants to work on Ash!
Gotta play into that Bad Girl, but like a deep down caring vibe… okay, so… Voice yes! She thinks before transforming back into the form she had landed on.
“Oh, Hi…”
“Oh gosh no… too high and like… that’s just my voice, duh”
“Hey there…”
“Okay better… but… needs more like… bad bitch in there”
She thinks pausing before swaying her head back and forth, letting the curly brown hair shake out a bit
“Oh… hi, didn’t notice you there… was too busy being cool as all get out”
She says laughing a bit, heyyyy even got the like… bad bitch laugh down instead of giggling… bonus points!
She turns and walks, almost strutting to her chair in front of her desk plopping down in it nonchalantly
“What do you want?”
She says in Ashes voice…
Before showing a big smile
“OH MY GODS THAT’S PERFECT”
She thinks to herself… That is exactly what I wanted!
